The MoonCatcher Project We provide free, reusable, washable menstrual pads to girls in the poorest communities worldwide. At its core our project is about girls’ empowerment.

The MoonCatcher Project was created to optimize girls' lives worldwide by removing barriers related to menstruation. Education is the most effective means of improving the lives of girls in the world’s poorest communities. However, girls often drop out of school when they reach puberty because they have no access to menstrual products. This is a worrisome trend that leads to early marriage, childbearing at an early age, and a lack of financial independence. The MoonCatcher Project was established to provide free reusable, washable menstrual pads that can be worn without underwear for girls in the poorest communities worldwide. These pads provide a way for girls to stay in school while menstruating, giving them a greater chance of completing their education. Wherever possible we offer menstrual management and reproductive health classes and we help set up and support community sewing guilds that provide employment for local women. It takes just $5.07 to make a MoonCatcher kit and to change the life of a girl.

Happy International Day of the Girl Child ✨🌙

This day focuses attention on the need to address the challenges girls face and to promote girls’ empowerment and the fulfilment of their human rights.

At the MoonCatcher Project, we work to address these barriers by providing free reusable menstrual kits to girls and communities internationally and offering menstrual health education to reduce shame and stigma.

Period pantry stocking- courtesy of Organization of Triangles Inc. ❤️

Back in July, Organization of Triangles Inc. generously donated period care packages to us. These care packages include pads, tampons, hand sanitizer, wipes, socks, soap, a loofah and more!

We are continuously in awe of how our community shows up for us. The needs is high and our pantries are cleared out rapidly. Donations from community members are an essential component to keep these pantries full 💜💙
