Create Community Studios C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios is a nonprofit agency focused on art making as a vehicle for personal growth

Create Community Studios is a nonprofit 501c3 agency focused on art making as a vehicle for personal growth, healing, and social change. We believe in the arts' ability to bring people together. Throughout history, people around the world have used the arts to define their communities and their cultures. Our goal is to use the creative arts as an equalizer across cultural and economic barriers, and for participants to learn how to use art as a therapeutic medium to increase their general wellbeing. We have studios in Saratoga Springs: 70B Beekman St & Schenectady: 137 State St. CREATE's programs made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

Recently we were invited to present Professional Development sessions for the Scoharie County Schools Regional Conference Day. Over 400 school professionals representing six schools attended and we were honored to share some of our innovative strategies and ideas for integrating Social Emotional Learning and the Expressive Arts into classrooms for ALL AGES AND ABILITIES.
Our participants were thrilled to have hands-on experiences with accessible art materials and lessons that build community, support pro-social behaviors and result in regulated nervous systems for students AND teachers.
Are you a school professional looking for fresh ideas to support your students’ overall learning and wellness? We love to build unique professional development experiences for schools and agencies, and share our love of the expressive arts and mental health.

🚴 Rotterdam Junction Mural Dedication!!!
Tuesday we gathered with our “Color the Canal” partner, to recognize the AMAZING mural completed by the Warrick-Harrison sibling team.

Jade, Zoe, Shalom, & Quill put in countless hours on the previously graffiti covered tunnel in Rotterdam Junction.

🖌️ They battled wildfire smoke, thunderstorms, sweating walls and more to create a welcoming piece of artwork representing the community and all that the Empire Trail has to offer!

🙏Special thanks for and Arts & Culture Grant for funding this project.
