Tonight was one of those moments that reminds us just how powerful kindness, generosity, and community can be.

We had the pleasure of having dinner with Erin Merf at Niko's Tavern in where she "officially" presented Ride for Hope with the proceeds from her incredible Making a Teal Difference fundraiser.

$9,434.40 was raised for Ride for Hope! 🩵

Erin, there truly aren’t enough words to thank you. What started with your own journey with ovarian cancer has become a mission to educate, raise awareness, and help other women facing this disease.

Because of you and Melissa — and every person who donated, purchased a shirt, attended the fundraiser, contributed a prize, or supported Making a Teal Difference — Ride for Hope can continue our mission of helping women battling ovarian cancer who are facing financial setbacks, while continuing to spread awareness about the signs and symptoms of this disease.

We were so happy to give Erin a little something tonight — flowers and a card — but what she has given Ride for Hope and the women we serve is immeasurable.

Erin, from all of us at Ride for Hope, THANK YOU for Making a Teal Difference. 🩵

Let that sink in.

1 in every 20 cancers diagnosed in women worldwide is a gynecological cancer.

Yet many women don’t know the warning signs of ovarian, uterine (endometrial), cervical, vaginal, or vulvar cancers until they’re facing a diagnosis.

Awareness saves lives. Conversations save lives. Early detection can save lives.

Know your body. Don’t ignore symptoms. Keep up with routine screenings, and never hesitate to advocate for your health.

Together, we can educate, empower, and give hope to women everywhere.

🎄🩵 CALLING ALL CRAFTY VOLUNTEERS! 🩵🎄

Ride for Hope is helping create special TEAL Ornaments at the Together in Teal WALK - Chicago for the NOCC Christmas Tree at Brookfield Zoo!
Each ornament will honor or remember a survivor, fighter, angel, caregiver, or loved one touched by ovarian cancer.

In the Ride for Hope tent, our friend and awesome volunteer Hiba Dababneh will head this up with her smart & talented daughter Gracie. We've got the supplies — now we just need some helping hands! 👐🩵🩵
No crafting experience necessary… just come have some fun and help us create something beautiful and meaningful.
