Beginning to panic about a costume for your child? Halloween is THIS Saturday! Instead of paying too much for a costume, put together an outfit from a local thrift store. Create a scarecrow with an oversized plaid shirt, an old hat, jeans or high socks and some straw or pillow stuffing. Using makeup instead of a mask also helps to keep your child's vision clear. Don't forget a flashlight and accompany your children to locations you know and trust. Stay safe everyone and Happy Halloween! 🎃🎃🎃

The weather outside is not quite frightful but it IS getting chillier! When dressing your infant, remember that babies lose heat faster than adults but overbundling can cause overheating! Check for warmth by feeling the back of your baby's neck or chest. If hot or clammy lighten up on the layers and if too cool, consider adding a layer. Consult with your pediatrician when in doubt!

Yesterday morning we were excited to be with Healthy Savannah to present an update on the construction of our new early learning center on our campus on Hopkins Street. We were thrilled to answer questions from the audience about our planned opening in early 2027. Like us, it sounds like many of you can't wait! Thank you again to Healthy Savannah for providing this opportunity to share news with our community. 💚

Extensive research tracked by organizations like the Learning Policy Institute shows that children who attend high-quality preschools are less likely to repeat grades, more likely to graduate high school, and transition into kindergarten with much less stress. Just some of the reasons why Savannah area early learning centers need your support.

We all know that drawing and painting help children to learn and we also know that art supplies are getting more expensive. Our friends Starlandia Art Supply have found a creative (of course) way to help local nonprofits! When you bring in your art materials to trade, you can give your resulting store credit to a participating non profit organization. Greenbriar is proud to be one of the inaugural community credit partners! We will be able to use these credits to fund creativity in our new early learning center, opening early in 2027. Thank you Starlandia Art Supply for all you do for our community!
