🌊 The Blob is back, and the ocean is feeling the heat. 🥵

Ahoy Local Boaters!

Clean Coast is organizing a cleanup of the south shore of Hutchinson Island on Saturday, October 10, meeting at the public dock on the Eastern Shore at 9am.

Please help us transport our volunteers across the river to remove harmful marine debris from this island in the heart of our beautiful city. We'll be offering a $25 gas reimbursement as an incentive.

Please confirm you'll be joining us with your boat and the number of volunteers you can carry.

Monthly Beach Cleanups of Georgia's uninhabited barrier Islands.  To clean GA coastal islands only accessible by boat we meet at a designated Marina, get on boats from volunteer Captains and clean a beach for a few hours then have a small beach party and return,

This year’s cleanup drew a large number of volunteers, including students from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

The Clean Coast Club of Savannah Arts Academy participated with CCA-GA in their first clean up this school year on Tybee and this was their haul! Off to a great start.

How did this pelican know where to go for help? We all have to do better.

"NOAA biologists warn that improperly discarded fishing line remains a silent, deadly hazard. The monofilament line is virtually invisible underwater and takes hundreds of years to decompose. This creates deadly tangles that can strangle, injure, or kill coastal wildlife."
