We’re proud to share the success of the recent Westside Environmental Town Hall—a powerful gathering of residents, partners, and leaders committed to protecting the health and future of our community.

As part of this effort, we’re continuing to raise awareness around PFAS (“forever chemicals”)—what they are, how exposure happens, and what steps you can take to protect yourself and your family. The attached flyer breaks it down in a clear and accessible way.

This is just the beginning. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier Westside—through education, collaboration, and action.

Ivory Bay Community Development Corporation (Ivory Bay CDC) and the Westside Neighborhood Advisory Council (WNAC) are community partners in the Canal District Revitalization Plan and support the stabilization and shoring up of the historic Waterworks Building as a critical first step in preserving this historic structure and advancing long-term revitalization within the Canal District corridor.

Working alongside the City of Savannah, Ivory Bay CDC and WNAC serve as the primary civic stakeholders representing the residents of the Canal District corridor. Together, we form an alliance representing the ten neighborhoods that make up the corridor, ensuring that the interests, voices, and priorities of residents remain central to the planning and revitalization process.

As the coordinating partner for resident engagement, our role is to work collaboratively with the City and community partners to guide responsible revitalization that honors the district’s history, strengthens neighborhoods, and creates sustainable opportunities for the residents who call this corridor home.
