The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is developing a new statewide active transportation plan to better serve Georgia’s small towns and rural communities. Grounded in national best practices, robust data analysis, and input from key stakeholders, partners, local leaders, and Georgians like you, this forward-looking plan sets a clear direction for the state. Its goal is to position Georgia as a leader in active transportation by supporting safer, more comfortable walking and cycling in small towns and rural areas.
