My choices are mine. But what I choose and want for myself isn’t necessarily right for anyone else. When I impose my choices and beliefs on others, I’m setting myself up for a Not Fun Time. Today I ask questions. Where are others coming from? What do they want? I ask myself the same questions. Together, we can find a solution that works for both of us. Let the Fun Times begin!

I see the perfection of diversity today. I see it in the millions of cells in my body, each expressing in their own way. I see it in the superb variety of plants and animals on this planet. One Source infinitely expressing. So many beautiful beings sharing this floating orb we call Earth. The same, yet each perfectly unique. Life is amazing. All of it!

I allow myself time to chill. I allow myself time to do whatever I want, whether it’s reading or gardening or meditating or watching movies or doing nothing at all. I know what makes me feel relaxed and centered, and I take time to do this on a regular basis. If I can take one day a week to chill, I do. If it’s only a few hours a week at first, I do that. My chill time makes everything in my life better.

The sun isn’t worried what anyone else thinks about it. It’s not holding back its fiery greatness so that other suns won’t get jealous. It shines powerfully and radiantly all the time. I take my cue from the sun today. Holding back my light doesn’t serve anyone. Indeed, when I hold back, I’m depriving those who would be nurtured and inspired by my radiance. I let myself shine today.

Sometimes things go smoothly. Sometimes they don’t. But who’s to say that one is bad and another is good? Actually, I’m the one who gets to say! Today I call everything good. If it’s easy and smooth, great. If it appears to be an inconvenience, I find the humor in it. It’s way better to laugh than to be annoyed. I feel better, and so does everyone around me.

The weather is my life is always changing. And as much as I may love warm, sunny days, they aren’t the only thing on my weather map. Stormy days are on the map too. I can try to pretend this isn’t the case. I can label the sunny days “good” and the stormy days “bad,” but that’s not true. They’ll all just days. I can learn and grow from all of them. And be gentle with myself throughout.
