We are excited to be hosting both a presentation and a 2-day workshop by author, teachers, and life-long inkle loom weaver, Annie MacHale!

Guild Meeting Presentation: Narrow But Not Limited
February 5th, 2025, 10:00 am
Because the inkle loom is a simple device designed to make very narrow, warp-faced pieces, its true potential is often overlooked. Annie MacHale has spent over four decades exploring the possibilities and loves to inspire others to join her in the adventure.

Workshops: Learn to Design Patterns & Weave on an Inkle Loom
February 4th, 9-4 pm & 5th 1-4 pm
In this hands-on class, students will learn the techniques and artistry of inkle weaving from someone with over 4 decades as an exclusive inkle loom weaver.

Visit www.redwoodgfa.org for more information.

For our guild presentation on Wednesday, November 6th, members of the Silverado Spinsters will talk about their experiences forming a team to participate in the CNCH National Sheep to Shawl event in 2023. In this event, 6 person teams are tasked with crafting a shawl from scratch in four hours time. They describe the challenge as “an opportunity to do what we love and push the boundaries of what you can do with 6 team members, 2 pounds of wool, and 4 hours with a 4-harness loom”.

The presentation will begin at 10:00 am in-person at the Luther Burbank Art & Garden Center.
