🚨 HAVE YOU PURCHASED PLANTS FROM COSTCO LATELY? 🚨

Glassy-Winged Sharpshooter (GWSS) has been detected on grapevine and fruit tree shipments distributed through Costco locations in several California counties, including Sonoma County.

Affected plants were sold between April 21 and May 21 at locations including Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Novato, and Ukiah.

If you recently purchased nursery plants from Costco during this timeframe, or if you have any concerns or questions, please contact the Sonoma County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office immediately at 707-565-2371 so an inspector can assist.

Agricultural Commissioners and CDFA are actively working to trace and remove affected plant material to help protect California agriculture.

Officials scramble to find infested nursery shipments sold through Costco and urge residents to isolate plants and report sightings.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Their courage, service, and dedication will never be forgotten. As we gather with family and friends, we are grateful for the freedoms they fought to protect.

From all of us at Sonoma County Farm Bureau, we wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. ❤️🤍💙

The Sonoma County Farm Bureau is asking our community to come together in support of Sonoma County Sheriff’s Detective Steve Cummings as he courageously battles Multiple Myeloma cancer.

Steve has spent his life serving and protecting others — from volunteering as a firefighter to serving with the Petaluma Police Department and now the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office as a SWAT Team Leader and Detective. Even throughout treatment, Steve continued showing up for his community whenever he physically could.

Steve has always been dedicated to the entire Sonoma County community, but agriculture, farmers, and ranchers have always been a great priority for him. Throughout his career, he has consistently supported and stood alongside our agricultural community whenever needed.

As Steve and his family continue this difficult fight, we encourage anyone who is able to help support them during this time.

Thank you for supporting Steve, his wife, and their two children as they focus on healing and recovery. ❤️
