CCNWC Employee Spotlight!🌟💜

Alecia Alvarez brings vibrant energy and unwavering dedication to her role as Site Supervisor & Case Manager at Napa Nightingale. Alecia's responsibilities include transporting clients to appointments, picking up medications, conducting hospital assessments for potential new clients, preparing meals, maintaining case notes and reports, shopping for shelter needs, cleaning the facility, and checking in on clients hourly. She also provides case management and housing navigation services.

Alecia mentioned she enjoys her role because she is very involved in the clients lives and wants to do make sure they are always supported on their journey towards recovery. “I'm more of a hands-on kind of person. I get to take my clients to their appointments. I get to help them make their appointments. I get to help connect them with all the resources available through our facility.”

One important thing Alecia has learned while working at Nightingale is that homelessness can impact anyone. “I have learned that all walks of life can experience homelessness. It doesn't matter how much money you've had at one time, what kind of career you had, or how dedicated your marriage was. Literally all walks of life can find themselves in that position.”

Community Alert Update!🚨

Following yesterday's joint community alert with the Santa Rosa Police Department, the Press Democrat is helping spread awareness about immigration-related scams impacting local families.

The article highlights the growing trend of immigration-related scams impacting our community, the steps people can take to protect themselves and loved ones, and the importance of working with trusted, accredited immigration service providers.

As CEO Jennielynn Holmes shared in the article:

“We’re officially accredited. Our staff goes through a yearlong accreditation process with the federal government to be able to provide these services.”
