ReStore Sonoma County Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County's discount home improvement, decor and furniture store. All items are donated except for some new home improvement items.

ReStore is a discount home improvement store affiliated with Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County. From our 28,000 sq ft store in Santa Rosa we sell doors, windows, tools, toilets, sinks, ovens, dishwashers, microwave ovens, small appliances, paint, paint supplies, hardware, housewares, desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, mirrors, lighting, art, dressers, beds, patio furniture, and a variety of antiques and one of a kind pieces. Donations are tax deductible and can be made at our store or pick ups can be arranged. Today's the day! THEY’RE HOME! 🎉🔑🏠

After years in the making, 500 hours of sweat equity, countless volunteer hours, and an incredible community of supporters behind them, four Sonoma County families are officially homeowners!

Today, they closed escrow on their new Habitat homes at Blankenship Place, and got the keys to a place they can finally call their own.

We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this moment with these families. Their hard work made this possible. Our community helped build the path. And today, they’re home. 💙💚🏠

Great things happen when our community rolls up its sleeves and gives back! 🛠️💚💙

We were thrilled to welcome members of the North Bay Association of Realtors (NorBAR) to our ReStore on Tuesday morning for the second year of incredible partnership!

From flipping furniture to assembling bunk beds, desks, and pieces without instruction manuals (you know who you are! 😉), this team brought energy, creativity, and a serious willingness to help. They also rearranged our sales floor to make it feel warmer and more inviting for shoppers.

Every restored piece, assembled item, and improved corner of the store helps build momentum (and generate more sales) to support affordable housing in Sonoma County. 🏠

We’re so grateful to the NorBAR team for sharing their time, talents, and enthusiasm with us. Your commitment to giving back makes a real difference!

This Labor Day, we’re celebrating everyone whose time, talent, and hard work help build stronger homes and stronger communities.

From our construction crews and trade partners to volunteers, donors, community partners, and (most importantly!) our Habitat families, thank you for putting in the work.

We’re still celebrating, and now we’re in the paper, too! 📰💙💚

A big thank you to the Sebastopol Times for capturing our Home Dedication at Blankenship Place and sharing the story with the community. Our families received a pretty special welcome from their new neighbors.

“On behalf of Sebastopol, I just want to say welcome home," said Mayor Jill McLewis. And from Supervisor Hopkins: “You are cherished and you are honored and you are part of our community. We are so thrilled to have you here.” She also spoke to the heart of the Habitat model, calling it “co-creation”: building a future together, not simply giving and receiving.

Then, after the speeches, everyone walked with the families to their new front doors and opened the doors together. Honestly, it doesn’t get much better than that. 💚🏡

And special thank you to Poppy Bank, our Home Dedication event sponsor, for helping us celebrate this incredible milestone and our four families!

This past Saturday, we celebrated home, community, and new beginnings. 💙🏡💚

We opened the doors at Blankenship Place and celebrated something pretty special: four families who will soon be calling these beautiful new homes their own.

With family, friends, community members, local officials, volunteers, donors, and trade partners gathered together, the day was filled with all the good stuff: joy, gratitude, a few happy tears, and lots of celebrating.

We also took a moment to honor the legacy of Jack & Phyllis Blankenship, whose generosity and vision helped make Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County what it is today. Their names now live on at Blankenship Place, where four families will build their own memories for years to come.

And there were some pretty special gifts waiting for our families, too:
🧵 Handmade quilts to bring warmth and comfort to their new homes, generously donated by Moonlight Quilters of Sonoma County
🏮 Lanterns to light the way into a new chapter, donated by Mark Blankenship
🔑 Wooden keys signed by the people who helped make this moment possible

Then came the best part: we opened the doors and took a tour of their new homes together. 🏡

After months of construction, planning, hard work, volunteer hours, partnership, and community support, it was incredibly meaningful to pause and simply celebrate.

The families will be moving into their new homes by the end of the month, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them home.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Blankenship Place possible. This is what happens when a community comes together: we don’t just build houses. We build homes, hope, and a foundation for what comes next.

It really does take a village 🏡

As we see the finish line in sight for our four townhomes in downtown Sebastopol, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible volunteers who have helped in this final stretch.

From community volunteers to members of Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotary and the Presbytery of the Redwoods, so many people have shown up to help with those all-important final details: interior touch-ups, punch-list projects, landscaping, and even putting the home numbers on the front of each home. 💙💚

Every project, every planted garden, every finished detail has brought us one step closer to the moment these homes become home for four local families.

It has been amazing to watch Blankenship Place come together, and we couldn’t have done it without the many hands, hearts, and hours that have gone into this build.

Thank you to every volunteer who has been part of this journey. This is what community looks like. 💚🏡
