Circus Jam will include a silks workshop taught by the amazing *Carolina!

The schedule for this workshop will be:
6:30PM-7:30PM for beginners (those who have never tried or are very new to silks), and
7:30PM-8:30PM for beginner / intermediate levels (for those who have some experience like climbing and foot locks, but are looking to learn more)

*Carolina brings decades of experience helping both children and adults explore movement through gymnastics, dance, martial arts, and creative play. Her work as a circus tumbling and acrobatics coach led her to aerial arts in 2016, where she found a practice that seamlessly blends strength, grace, and artistic expression. As the owner of Eclipse Aerial Arts, Carolina is dedicated to helping students build confidence, resilience, and longevity in their movement practice. She teaches throughout Sonoma County, including Flying Frog Academy in Rohnert Park, Vertex Climbing Gym in Santa Rosa, and Circus Waldissima.

This event is for community members to access essential gender affirming & harm reduction resources like:

⭐️ Opportunity to receive a free haircut from an affirming hairstylist

Saturday, May 9, the Arlene Francis Center in Santa Rosa presents funk/rock band the Heard Eye in a fund-raiser for their trip to perform at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland. Help them get there by attending this event! Saturday, May 9, 99 6th St, Santa Rosa. 7 pm. $15 admission. No one turned away for lack of funds. Also on the bill is Malone Crew. Originally hailing from the Z area of the planet Peelander, Peelander-Z is a Japanese-American punk rock band formed in 1998. You’ll see the band in colorful costumes reminiscent of Japanese anime or punk rock Power Rangers, though they describe their outfits as their skin. They bring tons of fun energy to their live shows with audience participation like human bowling, banging on pots and pans, holding up signs, and just singing along to songs about STEAK and some guy named Mike. It’s fun for the whole family!
