On September 11, we will pause to remember the lives lost and the families forever changed.

We honor the first responders who answered the call with courage and compassion, and the veterans whose service carried forward in the years that followed.

In Sonoma County, remembrance lives in the strength of neighbors who serve, protect, support, and stand together. May we carry forward the unity, service, and resilience that emerged from that day: not only in memory, but in how we care for one another.

Take a moment to remember. Check in on a local veteran. Thank a first responder. Show up for the people who have shown up for our community.

Join us for the Veterans All-American Car Show on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Building, 126 First Street West, Sonoma, CA.

Hosted by VFW Bear Flag Post 1943, this family-friendly event features classic American-made cars and trucks, a pancake breakfast, food, craft b**r, live music, and a silent auction!

Proceeds support veterans programs. Show up, enjoy the day, and help strengthen our local veteran community.

Second chances change lives, especially for those who have served our country.

Today, we’re spotlighting the Sonoma County Veterans Treatment Court: a vital hyper-local program designed to support our veterans through rehabilitation rather than just traditional sentencing.

This isn't just about a court date; it's about a community coming together. By pairing veterans with local mentors and providing access to targeted resources right here in our area, this program ensures that our heroes have the support they need to successfully reintegrate into civilian life.

We are proud to see our local justice system lead the way in honoring military service by focusing on restoration and recovery. When we support our veterans locally, our entire community grows stronger.

The Santa Rosa VA clinic is proud to partner with Redwood Empire Food Bank to bring fresh, healthy food to those who served. Join us every Thursday for the Veterans Food Bank Distribution at the Santa Rosa VA Clinic South.

Available for veterans and active-duty military:
- USDA Groceries To Go (Drive-thru or walk-up)
- Senior Baskets (Aged 60+)

Details:
Location: 2285 Challenger Way, Santa Rosa
Time: Thursdays, 1 PM - 3 PM

Volunteers: Just show up to help sort or distribute!

Reminders: Bring reusable bags/cart. On-site ID required.
