What a blessing Saturday was!
We had the privilege of spending the afternoon with the men at our CROP Partner, PTSD Foundation of America - Camp Hope
The veterans fired up the grill and served delicious burgers while KJIC volunteers brought desserts and movie theater popcorn, generously provided by . We also enjoyed tea and lemonade from our friends at Drink Milo's , who joined us in serving throughout the day.
The evening was filled with fellowship, worship, encouragement, and powerful stories of God's faithfulness. Local artist Justin Gambiino whose music you hear on KJIC and who is also a veteran, shared his testimony and reminded us of a powerful truth: God pursues us even when we don't feel worthy of His love. His story was a beautiful reminder that hope is found not in our own strength, but in a God who never stops seeking, loving, and redeeming His children.
One of the greatest gifts of the day was simply spending time together sharing a meal, listening to one another, worshiping, and building relationships. We are grateful for opportunities like this to come alongside ministries that are making a difference in the lives of combat veterans and their families.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and served. It was a beautiful reminder that God often works through simple acts of kindness, community, and a willingness to show up for one another.
