This sweet lady is now going to be able to leave her house thanks to members of the Pearland Lions and Alvin Lion Scott Moehlig. They built a ramp for her as part of the Texas Lions Ramp program. Lion Scott said it was a long day but worth it to see the smile on her face!

Great meeting on April 1 at Grace Hall learning more about St.Jude Children's Research Hospital from Development Representative Heather Biggs. Following her presentation, Lion Mike Bass and Lion Lorri Arnold presented a check to support St. Jude's. In addition, Adrian Hembree with Grazia Craft Kitchen donated the proceeds from the meetings meal to St. Jude's.

Today, the Alvin Lions Club partnered with the Pearland Lions Club and the Texas Ramp Project to rebuild a wheelchair ramp for an Alvin resident in need.

This project was completed at no cost to the resident and is a great example of neighbors helping neighbors. Accessibility matters, and no one should be homebound because they cannot safely enter and leave their home.

A big thank you to Mayor Gabe Adame, Councilman Scott Salter, John Barron, Past President Jim Stephens, and the Pearland Lions Club members who gave their morning to make a real difference.

We had a great meeting today! Over 30 in attendance!
County Judge Matt Sebesta gave us great information about Brazoria County. We met at Grace Hall, which is fabulous and the food was amazing!! We inducted 3 new members and presented nominations for 2026-2027 Alvin Lions Club Officers and Board of Directors.

What an awesome meeting today! Members heard an inspiring presentation by Heidi Scherer with Isaiah 117 after which the club made a donation to the organization. Zone chair Lion Nicole Fogg helped induct 5 new members including Major Harper-Terry sponsored by Lion Brian Roberson and Chris Loftis,Alex Hoeg, Kristy Rockefeller and Karim Pacheco sponsored by Lion Seth Carrasco.
The date is set for the annual Pigskin Preview on July 29. Table and team sponsorships available!

Alvin Lions were honored to have Lions District 2S4 Governor Steven Johnson visit the club today. His inspirational words about the Leader Dog program, eyeglass recycling and more generated lots of interest. The club had a record 6 guests which resulted in 4 of them submitting applications for membership!

At their recent meeting Alvin Lions had the pleasure of hearing from Stephen Knippel, Texas Lions Camp Director East. Lion Director Knippel provided valuable information about Lions Camp and the upcoming summer camps. Lions Camp is a free summer camp for children with physical disabilities, Downs Syndrome, Type 1 diabetes and cancer. For more information about Lions camp go to
