🐾 BIG NEWS FROM FIX UR PET! 🐾

Our team is just getting back from an incredible week in Arizona with PetSmart Charities, and we have some exciting news to share!

Throughout the week, we had the opportunity to connect with hundreds of veterinarians, veterinary professionals, and animal welfare leaders representing dozens of organizations from across the country. While we all come from different communities, we share one common mission: making veterinary care more accessible and affordable for the pets and families who need it most.

We spent the week exchanging ideas, learning from one another, and exploring new ways to overcome the barriers that prevent pets from receiving the care they deserve. We are returning home inspired, motivated, and full of new ideas that we can't wait to put into action at Fix Ur Pet!

🎉 And now for the REALLY exciting news!

We are thrilled to announce that Fix Ur Pet has officially been approved to advance into Phase Two of the PetSmart Charities Accelerator Program!

This is an incredible opportunity for our organization and, more importantly, for the community we serve. Moving into Phase Two will help us continue growing, strengthening our programs, and expanding access to affordable veterinary care for even more pets and families throughout our community.

We are incredibly grateful to PetSmart Charities for believing in our mission and investing in organizations like ours that are working to make a lasting difference in animal welfare.
The future is bright for Fix Ur Pet, and we're just getting started! 💙🐾

📸 Here are a few photos from our week in Arizona, filled with learning, collaboration, and some pretty amazing people!

Clothing is optional… and apparently so is hair. 😂

Some patients come dressed in their finest fur coat. Others prefer to keep things a little more… natural. 😎

Either way, cute is always required. 🐾💕

Disclaimer: This policy applies to pets only. Clients, please keep your clothes on. 😂

🐾 Helping Our Community, One Family at a Time! ❤️
Today was one of those days that reminds us exactly why we do what we do!

We had the pleasure of helping one very special family care for FOUR of their beloved pets! 🐶🐱
🐱 Sweet Octavia and Aurora were both spayed.
🐶 Handsome Remi was neutered.
🐶 Beautiful Mabel received wellness care to help keep her happy and healthy!
But the love didn't stop there! We were also able to provide Mabel with 12 months of FREE NexGard PLUS and Remi with 6 months of FREE Credelio! Since Remi already has ProHeart 12 on board, both pups are set up with some wonderful parasite protection.

Approximately $600!
That's how much this family saved on preventative medications alone! ❤️

At Fix Ur Pet, our mission is about so much more than spaying and neutering. It's about keeping pets healthy, helping families overcome financial barriers to veterinary care, and making a real difference in the community we love.

Four pets received care today, and one family has a little less to worry about. That's what community veterinary medicine is all about. 🥰

📸 Mabel was the only one willing to pose for a family photo! Remi, Octavia, and Aurora decided that after surgery, they were officially off the clock and unavailable for pictures. 😂🐾

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and helps us continue making moments like these possible!

🥟 POP QUIZ: Which hand is Dr. Wineki holding a dumpling in? 👀

Take a good look before you answer…

Plot twist: NEITHER! 😂

One is our very convincing “dumpling,” and the other is a mass our team removed from a canine patient. We’ll let you decide which is which!

All jokes aside, this is an important reminder to check your pets for lumps and bumps regularly. While many masses can be benign, you can’t tell what a lump is just by looking at it or feeling it. New masses, or ones that are growing, changing shape or color, becoming irritated, or bothering your pet, should be evaluated by a veterinarian.

🐾 Found a suspicious lump or bump on your pet? Don’t ignore it! Having it evaluated early allows your veterinarian to determine what the next steps should be and whether testing or removal is recommended.

At Fix Ur Pet, we offer wellness and minor-illness appointments and can evaluate those mysterious lumps and bumps.

Schedule your pet’s appointment at FixUrPet.com.

Now… which one fooled you? 🥟😂

FLAT-FACED & FABULOUS BUT THEY NEED A LITTLE EXTRA CARE! 🐾

Do you have a French Bulldog, English Bulldog, Pug, Boston Terrier, Persian, Exotic Shorthair, or another brachycephalic (flat-faced) pet?

You may have heard that these breeds can have increased risks during anesthesia and surgery, particularly because of their unique airway anatomy. That doesn’t mean they can’t safely undergo procedures, it means their veterinary team needs to understand those risks and take appropriate precautions. ❤️

At Fix Ur Pet, we welcome brachycephalic cats and dogs and take additional precautions before, during, and after anesthesia to help keep these special patients as safe and comfortable as possible.

Our team pays particular attention to their airway, breathing, anesthesia, and recovery.
We know some owners of brachycephalic breeds have a harder time finding affordable surgical options because of their increased anesthetic needs. We want you to know that Fix Ur Pet is here for you.

✂️ Need to schedule a spay or neuter for your flat-faced friend?

Visit FixUrPet.com to view our services and schedule an appointment.

Because those squishy faces deserve access to safe, affordable veterinary care too.
