A huge thank you to Elanco for providing lunch and an educational session for our team today on intestinal parasites and the importance of year-round prevention!

At Fix Ur Pet, we are committed to continuing education and staying up to date on emerging concerns that may impact our patients. One topic we discussed was the growing concern surrounding the New World Screwworm and the importance of preventing parasite infestations before they become a problem.

Fortunately, many of the parasite preventatives we carry help protect pets against a variety of internal and external parasites, helping keep pets healthier and reducing risks associated with parasite infestations. Prevention is always easier, safer, and less expensive than treatment.

Every single team member involved in the care of our sedated and anesthetized patients completes ongoing continuing education and maintains Recover CPR certification to ensure they're prepared to provide the highest standard of care.

Today, we took that commitment a step further. Instructors joined us for hands-on CPR training, and every member of our team actively participated in practical skills and emergency preparedness exercises.

Sunday is for spaying. 54 community cats came in thanks to dedicated colony managers. These people work tirelessly to reduce the number of strays by trapping, altering and providing ongoing oversight of their feral felines. Without their dedication, thousands of kittens would be born to grow up wild and continue the cycle.
