Looking for a side job with a meaningful impact?

You can join our M.A.S.H. teams for 1, 2 or 3 days in the following locations:

🚨Sept. 11-13: Fresno, Surgeon needed.
🚨August 28-30: Stockton, Vet Tech needed.

We offer competitive rates, shared accommodation, breakfast and lunch.

BONUS: We are looking to expand our local capacities, so, if you are looking to add another state license to your résumé and you sign up for at least 4 clinics with us in your first year, Animal Balance will cover the cost of your California DVM license!

Special Thanks to Councilmember Bob Blumenfield’s office and the Robert & Erika Brunson Spay/Neuter Fund through Michelson Found Animals, our M.A.S.H. team deployed in Los Angeles for a new sterilization clinic.

Enormous thanks to Paws For Life K9 Rescue for hosting us and supporting our team each day. Your dedication and partnership made it possible to run this event safely and smoothly from start to finish. To every one of your volunteers who joined the Animal Balance crew, thank you for showing up for the animals of CD3.

We’re so grateful for everyone who showed up and made a difference for the pets and families we served, but also, this is the result of how funding prevention can mobilize a whole community!

Our founder inspired a book, and that book just won an award! 🥰

We're delighted to announce that "Emma and Her Mission" took the Bronze Medal in the Pre-Reader/Picture Book category at this year's Florida Authors and Publishers Association (FAPA) Book Awards.

Written by Lyla Lynn and illustrated by Luna Ulloa, it's a wonderful book, and everyone at Animal Balance sends the authors a huge congratulations! 🎉

🎉 Big news for California’s animals, AB 2010 -the SNIP Act- passed the state legislature and now its at the Governor’s desk!

AB2010 removes outdated barriers to high-volume spay/neuter care and opens the door for M.A.S.H. clinics to reach the rural and underserved communities that need them most.

Fewer barriers = more surgeries = fewer animals in shelters

This victory is the result of a coalition of organizations standing shoulder to shoulder with public servants like Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria, all committed to advancing prevention-first solutions across the United States.

We’re proud to help lead a conversation that turns intention into action, prioritizing policy change that addresses pet overpopulation before it begins.

Also, thanks again to every constituent who called their representative in favor of this bill and to every member of the civil society who supported us along the way.

🐾AB 2010 PASSES THE STATE SENATE UNANIMOUSLY! 🐾

The California State Senate voted yesterday to pass AB 2010, the SNIP Act, a major step toward affordable, lifesaving spay/neuter care in every community across the state. It still needs to clear the Assembly before it’s official, but the path is clear for AB 2010 now!

AB 2010 means high-volume spay/neuter clinics can finally operate more efficiently, and that M.A.S.H. (Mobile Animal Sterilization Hospital) clinics can bring surgeries straight into the neighborhoods and rural towns that need them most.

ENORMOUS THANKS to Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria for authoring and championing this bill, and to our hardworking coalition: ASPCA, San Diego Humane Society, The San Francisco SPCA, and Shelter Pals . It’s been a hard but heartwarming journey for us all. And finally, THANK YOU to every constituent who called their representative in support, your actions helped make this victory possible! 💚

If passed, AB 2010 is projected to take effect January 1, 2027.
