Last but not least, meet Molly! 👋 Molly is one of three incredible interns this month in the Bio-Telemetry and Behavioral Ecology Lab supported by The HX Foundation HX Expeditions

The HX Foundation is providing a fantastic opportunity for these young scientists to gain experience and provide valuable insights into the Antarctic marine ecosystem that can be shared with passengers and used to promote conservation and preservation of marine mammals and this unique ecosystem. 🐋🧊

Our partnership with HX and Dr. Friedlaender just keeps getting stronger and we can’t wait to see what these three achieve. Pleasure to have you with us, molly kate !

There really is no place like the Monterey Bay! We’re so lucky to have such an abundance of marine mammals right in our backyard. The waters were full of activity for our MMST trips this summer, from endless humpback jumps and tail slaps to hundreds of common dolphins chasing our boat, our students had more marine mammals to observe than ever before!

If you are in the area, get out on the water and let us know what you see 🐋🫍🐬🦭🌊

Big shout out to Sanctuary Cruises for taking us out, check them out!
