New research is challenging a common myth about feeding preterm babies. 💙

A 2026 randomized controlled trial found that preterm infants who breastfed for their first oral feeding had better oxygen levels, more stable heart rates, and even took in more milk than those who were bottle-fed. Every family deserves evidence-based support to make informed feeding decisions. 💛 Please share to help spread the word!

Let’s put to rest for good the false assumptions that bottle-feeding is “easier” for preemies than breastfeeding. Acording to this 2026 RCT, at their first feeding by mouth, preemies breastfed had measurably better oxygen levels and heart rates compared with those whose first oral feed was by bottle. This May, we’re honoring AANHPI Heritage Month — and having honest conversations about equity in infant feeding. 🌺
AANHPI families are too often grouped into one broad category in public health data, hiding real disparities and cultural differences that affect the support mothers receive.

One of our own in the Nursing Mothers Counsel community is going through something incredibly heavy right now. Pam, a beloved mom and small business owner of , has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.

She’s stepping away from work to focus fully on healing, while navigating the stress of medical expenses.
