Our History:

The history of the Delhi neighborhood can be traced back to the 1860's when the two McFadden brothers, originally from Delhi, New

York, purchased land and named it Delhi. In 1969, the Delhi Center was incorporated as a non-profit organization by local residents, a nearby church, city officials and Junior League of Orange County. The organization was established as a referral source for largely Mexican and Mexican-American farm-worker community residing in Santa Ana. For more than 25 years, the organization was located within two marine barracks.

🌲 Big Bear Adventure with Lightning Youth Academy
Through generous funding provided by the California Natural Resources Agency and Prop64 Youth Community Access grant, the Delhi Center’s youth-led LEAD program (Lead, Empowerment, Action, and Development) has just completed it’s first excursion!

A huge THANK YOU to Dr. Cholula and the Lightning Youth Academy for giving our teens an unforgettable 4-day overnight camping experience at Camp Morning Star in Big Bear! 🏕️🌲

Throughout the trip, our teens stepped outside their comfort zones and embraced new challenges through archery, canoeing, running, hiking, food preparation, and team-building activities. 🏹🚣‍♀️🥾🍳
Beyond the activities, this experience was about building confidence, strengthening friendships, developing leadership skills, and creating meaningful memories together. Our teens had the opportunity to connect with one another, support each other, and experience the power of teamwork in the great outdoors. 💚
These are the experiences that inspire growth, create lasting connections, and remind our youth that they are capable of more than they may realize.

The Mental Performance Youth Camp is a FREE opportunity for youth ages 7–18 to develop the mental skills needed to succeed in sports, school, and life. Through engaging workshops and interactive activities, participants will learn techniques to improve confidence, focus, resilience, teamwork, and overall performance.

Parents are encouraged to join the learning experience by discovering practical strategies to support and empower their youth. Families will also have the opportunity to attend the Santa Ana Mental Health & Performance Conference on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

We’re honored to share that Delhi Center has been selected as a 2026 Breakaway Fund and/or Build OC Fund recipient! We’re proud to be among 89 organizations receiving funding to strengthen nonprofits and improve quality of life across Orange County.
