It was a wonderful evening celebrating partnership, creativity, and the transformative impact of community-based work. We are grateful for OCCTAC’s leadership and for their continued commitment to serving children, families, and communities through arts, education, and therapy.

MECCA is recruiting young adults ages 17–25 for our Youth Advisory Committee! 🌱

This is a paid leadership opportunity for youth who want to make a difference in Orange County through community outreach, youth-centered planning, social media campaigns, and substance use prevention education.

Participants will:
Receive quarterly stipends of $500
Build leadership and career skills
Support youth-friendly outreach and community events
Receive training in CPR, First Aid, Naloxone, mental wellness, and more
Help guide MECCA’s Youth Community Access program

Commitment begins with orientation in February 2026, with at least 3–4 meetings per month.

MECCA was proud to sponsor this week’s Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Health and Wellness Challenges for Business event!

Our team hosted an educational table to share community resources, connect with attendees, and support conversations around health, wellness, and prevention in Orange County.

We were also proud to have MECCA Board Member John Gutierrez, Vice President of OCHCC, and MECCA Board Member Brandon Aguirre in attendance.

Thank you to Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for bringing together local leaders, businesses, and community partners for an important conversation about building healthier workplaces and communities.
