Earlier this month, FOCUS Orange County hosted our first-ever Pan-Orthodox Backpack Packing & Pizza Party at Saint Paul's Greek Orthodox Church. Orthodox Christians from across the community gathered to pack backpacks with school supplies for children in need, all while enjoying fellowship and plenty of pizza! ❤

A special thank you to Wadeed Fakhoury, Director of Youth Equipped to Serve, for helping connect us with the FOCUS Backpack Program, and to Fr. Justin Bosl for graciously hosting us. We’re also grateful to Fr. George Katrib and Fr. Chris Retelas for joining us with their parishioners.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this first Backpack Packing & Pizza Party a success! We’re grateful to serve our neighbors together. 🎒☦

We’re grateful to celebrate the launch of FOCUS Orange County’s new partnership with Bread of Life Ministry! 💙

This past Saturday, nineteen dedicated volunteers from St. Mark Orthodox Church in Irvine served a hot meal to 50 of our unhoused neighbors in Huntington Beach. Together, they shared not only food, but also fellowship, compassion, and the love of Christ. Many guests were even able to take meals home to enjoy later!

In addition to dinner, volunteers distributed clothing, canned goods, and personal hygiene items to help meet practical needs. We’re especially thankful to FOCUS for donating nearly 60 T-shirts, which were warmly received by our guests.

We’re grateful for everyone who made this new outreach possible and look forward to continuing to serve our neighbors with love, dignity, and hospitality. ☦️

Earlier this month, our volunteer team returned to the Yale Navigation Center to serve dinner to neighbors experiencing homelessness in our community. 💙

We were especially grateful to be joined by Steven Christoforou, Executive Director of FOCUS NORTH AMERICA, along with volunteers from various parishes across Orange County.

What made the evening especially meaningful was the connection shared between volunteers and residents, many of whom expressed how much it means to be served with genuine kindness, conversation, and dignity.

We’re grateful to everyone who helps make this monthly outreach possible and look forward to continuing to serve our neighbors with love and compassion! ☦️

We're so grateful for the Sunday School children of St. Mark Church in Irvine, who are such faithful supporters of our Pantry! 🙌

Under the leadership of Khouria Miray Katrib, Sunday school students participate in the One Can Food Program, bringing a can of food with them to church every week. At the end of each month, these offerings are delivered to the FOCUS Orange County warehouse in Santa Ana, helping care for families in need.

From an early age, these children are learning to put love for their neighbor into action—planting seeds of compassion that will remain with them for a lifetime. ❤

This Holy Week, we are invited to witness the fullness of Christ’s love—a love given freely for the life of the world.

We invite you to enter deeply into these sacred services and refocus your heart on the mystery of His Passion.

"Enable us to see the Holy Week of Your Passion, that we may glorify Your mighty work, Your wonderful plan of salvation for us, singing with one heart and one voice: 'O Lord, glory to you!'" (Sixth Friday Vespers) ☦

We will be stepping away from social media this week and look forward to proclaiming, “Christ is Risen!” with you on Pascha.

Wishing you a blessed and prayerful Holy Week.
