Orange County has a median household income of $75,000, yet there are more than 12,000 people in the county experiencing homelessness.

FOCUS Orange County is a local center of FOCUS North America, a national movement of Orthodox Christians, united in faith and joined by a desire to provide action-oriented and sustainable solutions to poverty in communities across America. FOCUS OC opened its doors in 2010 to serve the needs of the homeless and working poor. We provide a range of services including hot meals, mobile health clinics, groceries, clothing, shoes and school supplies.

Earlier this month, our volunteer team returned to the Yale Navigation Center to serve dinner to neighbors experiencing homelessness in our community. 💙

We were especially grateful to be joined by Steven Christoforou, Executive Director of FOCUS NORTH AMERICA, along with volunteers from various parishes across Orange County.

What made the evening especially meaningful was the connection shared between volunteers and residents, many of whom expressed how much it means to be served with genuine kindness, conversation, and dignity.

We’re grateful to everyone who helps make this monthly outreach possible and look forward to continuing to serve our neighbors with love and compassion! ☦️

We're so grateful for the Sunday School children of St. Mark Church in Irvine, who are such faithful supporters of our Pantry! 🙌

Under the leadership of Khouria Miray Katrib, Sunday school students participate in the One Can Food Program, bringing a can of food with them to church every week. At the end of each month, these offerings are delivered to the FOCUS Orange County warehouse in Santa Ana, helping care for families in need.

From an early age, these children are learning to put love for their neighbor into action—planting seeds of compassion that will remain with them for a lifetime. ❤

We invite you to enter deeply into these sacred services and refocus your heart on the mystery of His Passion.

"Enable us to see the Holy Week of Your Passion, that we may glorify Your mighty work, Your wonderful plan of salvation for us, singing with one heart and one voice: 'O Lord, glory to you!'" (Sixth Friday Vespers) ☦

This past Saturday, we were blessed to welcome both new and returning guests to our monthly Food Pantry Day—many of whom shared how grateful they are to receive much-needed food for their families. 💛

A special thank you to our volunteer Lambis from St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church, San Juan Capistrano, who eagerly helped carry groceries to each guest’s car.

Glory to God for his servant’s heart—and for all who make this ministry possible! ☦️
