The Vietnamese Community Action for Resources and Empowerment strives to reduce mental health disparities and cultural stigma.

We make efforts to raise awareness on intergenerational gaps and help navigate available resources for community members. Viet-CARE dedicates to better serving our collective communities in uplifting ways. We work with the heart of love, the hope of healing changes, and the vision of improving the quality of life for Vietnamese (and ALL) community members with the path of mental health struggles. Our community vision is to collectively uplift and empower ourselves to rise above pain to purpose--and ultimately--to joy.

The ASPIRE Project is the first nationwide Asian American cancer cohort study designed to examine structural and social determinants of health and cancer by following 20,000 Asian American adults over time. It is funded by the National Cancer Institute and led by researchers at UCSF, in collaboration with researchers from UC Irvine, UC Davis, UCLA, Cedars-Sinai, Temple University, Thomas Jefferson University, and the University of Hawaii.

To support this study, they are currently recruiting Asian American participants aged 40–75 years who have no prior cancer diagnosis and speak English, Hindi, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Tagalog, Korean, Vietnamese, Hmong, or Khmer. Participants are expected to complete four online surveys (20- 30 minutes each) over 12 months and receive up to $25 in gift card compensation.
