Shoutout to our amazing SCAR volunteers!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who gave their time and energy to help make our recent Bucket Drop Fundraiser at The Publix at Lake Forest a success!

Fundraisers like these may look simple, but every shift worked, every bucket held, and every friendly smile helps support our athletes, equipment, travel, and continued growth of our rowing program.

We’re incredibly grateful for the athletes, parents, families, and supporters who showed up and represented SCAR so well. It truly takes a crew — on and off the water!

Thank you for showing up for SCAR and helping keep us moving forward. 💚

🚣 Every boat deserves a name. Every name becomes part of our story. 💚

Today, we finally gave several members of our fleet the celebration they deserved.

Some have been part of SCAR for a while but never received a proper naming ceremony. One is new to us, carrying with it a history of being rowed, raced, and loved by those who came before us. And two represent something especially meaningful—boats our SCAR family worked incredibly hard to make possible this summer.

So we gathered together, raised a toast, christened each one, and officially welcomed them into the SCAR family. 🍾🚣‍♀️

These boats will carry more than rowers. They’ll carry early mornings, hard practices, race-day nerves, victories, lessons, friendships, and memories that our athletes will take with them long after they leave the water.

Here’s to their next chapter—and all the miles still ahead. 💚

May they row straight, race fast, and always bring their crews home.
