Not all are called to foster, but all are called to care. Here is what care looks like:

Bring a meal once a month.
Come to The Vulnerable Child Experience at our center.
Give.
Pray for one family by name.

A Care Community is six to ten people from one church doing those small things for one family, for a year. About half of foster families stop after their first placement. With a Care Community, more than 90% keep going.

We think most people agree on this: kids belong in families.

But the families who say yes to fostering are often worn out and alone.

That's why Commission 127 exists. We equip local churches to come around foster and adoptive families with meals, prayer and friendship, so they can foster longer and stronger.

This week is We See You Week, and we're showing case managers some love.

Here's why. One study found that 74.5% of kids who kept the same case manager reached a safe, permanent home. After just one change in case manager, that number dropped to 17.5%.

This past weekend, advocates from 14 churches gathered at Rosen Shingle Creek for VCI, our Vulnerable Children Initiative.

Each of them leads their church's Family Advocacy Ministry (FAM), the team that comes around foster and adoptive families with meals, prayer and more. VCI is our yearly time to equip and encourage them.

☕️ Drink of the Week: The “Therapy is Working” Caramel Bliss

When’s the last time you prepped 240 servings of food?! 😳👏

These ladies from Quay church’s Family Advocacy Ministry get the medal! 🏅

Their Freezer Meal Ministry recently prepared meals to help support the 7 families they serve weekly through Care Communities—giving volunteers a meaningful, practical way to care for foster and adoptive families. Now that’s a good day!
