The mission of The Jewish Pavilion to enhance the quality of life of our elders in long term care by strengthening their connection to the community. Our Purpose:
The Jewish Pavilion enhances the lives of residents in independent, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities throughout Central Florida by providing regular visitation, holiday festivities, inter-generational celebrations, musical

programs, and educational courses. Our staff and volunteers visit seniors in fifty independent, assisted living and long-term care facilities. Our respite program gives caregivers a break on Fridays by allowing their loved ones to meet at the Jewish Community Center for day long activities.

Our Assistant Director, Vanessa, had the chance to speak with a packed house of visitors at One Senior Place - Orlando, Florida’s Healthy Living Day today. We always love connecting the community with resources from Jewish Pavilion Senior Services and the Orlando Senior Help Desk, especially when it’s at One Senior Place!

Shabbat Shalom from Jewish Pavilion Senior Services!

We are always delighted to see our cultural programs bringing residents together for learning, laughter, memories, and meaningful connections.

Jewpardy was a hit! Our senior contestants played Jewpardy today and had a blast doing it. It was not only a great time for everyone, but the contestants especially enjoyed recalling what they knew and learning about the things they did not know. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm, knowledge, and good-natured competition.

We also had a wonderful turnout for our special cultural program, Ashkenazi Herbalism and Tea. Participants explored Eastern European Jewish herbal traditions and learned about the Jewish immigrant history of Swee-Touch-Nee tea, a staple in many Jewish households. Everyone then created their own tea blends using a variety of herbs and spices. Residents enjoyed refreshments, shared memories of their parents' and grandparents' home remedies, and took home their own tea bags.

We are grateful for opportunities like these that connect generations to Jewish history and traditions while creating new memories together. This program was proudly supported through a grant from the S’firot Foundation.

The residents of Westminster Winter Park had a very special grant program with us this week, learning about Eastern European Jewish herbal traditions at “Ashkenazi Herbalism and Tea.” Residents learned about the history of Swee-Touch-Nee tea, made their own tea blends to take home, and shared memories of their family connections to herbal remedies. We’re able to host new, curated events at our senior living facilities thanks to a grant from The S'firot Foundation.

As another meaningful week comes to a close, all of us at Jewish Pavilion Senior Services and the Orlando Senior Help Desk wish you and your loved ones a peaceful and joyful Shabbat.

We are excited to welcome our new Board of Directors as they begin their work next week. Under the leadership of Board Chair Ursula Cutler, Senior Vice President of Cornerstone Hospice, we look forward to a year of growth, innovation, and continued dedication to serving seniors and their families throughout Central Florida.

We are also delighted to introduce our newly redesigned website at JewishPavilion.org. The site now combines information about Jewish Pavilion Senior Services with the valuable resources of the Orlando Senior Help Desk, making it easier than ever to find programs, services, and support for seniors and caregivers.

And it is that time of year again. Plans are underway for our exciting online auction, taking place October 25 through October 30. We are gathering wonderful experiences, vacation getaways, dining certificates, artwork, and much more. Mark your calendars and get ready to bid while supporting programs that bring joy, friendship, and Jewish connection to hundreds of seniors.
