Since 1985 FSMTA has recognized that there is a need for a standard basic training in Pre & Post Event Sports Massage for those therapists across the State of Florida who wish to participate and provide massage at athletic events. Taking the FSMTA Sports Massage Team traini

ng is REQUIRED to become a FSMTA Sports Team member. This requirement ensures all active memberes have the same basic knowledge and understanding of how to deal with professional, semi-professional, collegiate and novice athletes. The FSMTA Sports Massage Team training was created based on information provided by numerous industry leaders on Sports and Athletic massage. The training includes guidelines for operating a sports massage team; protocol in preparing for and conducting an event; basic first aid; thermal injury recognition; techniques for performing Pre and Post event massage and allows time for hands-on practice.

FSMTA is proud to be the Official Sports Massage Team for the 2026 Hula Bowl!

The Hula Bowl is the Nation's Premier College Football All-Star Game where NFL, UFL and CFL teams will be represented by their top scouts during Hula Bowl week practices. 120 senior athletes will be selected with players coming in from across the United States, Canada, and Japan.
