🚨Donation Request🚨 We are critically low on bath towels (new or gently used), puppy training pads, and newspapers at all of our locations: Alafaya Clinic, Orlando Shelter, and the Sanford Clinic and Shelter. These items are essential for our daily operations: bath towels provide bedding and post-surgery comfort for our cats and dogs, while puppy training pads and newspapers are vital for our kittens and pups in the kennels. We would be incredibly grateful for your support!

Lake County Animal Services took in 85 dogs and 14 horses from a property in Groveland earlier this week.

Today we welcomed 40 Small Mixed Breed Dogs into our care, transferred from Lake County Florida Animal Shelter after they recently took in 85 dogs from a high-volume pet owner.

When we learned about this large intake and realized their shelter was at capacity, we immediately stepped in to help. We arranged a transport for 40 dogs to move to our Orlando and Sanford locations, both to alleviate their overcrowding and to support a fellow local / neighboring shelter partner.

We are currently caring for 40 of these dogs, with 20 settled at our Orlando location and 20 at our Sanford location to ensure they all receive the personalized attention they need. Since their arrival at Pet Alliance, we have been providing these dogs with exactly what they need: time to decompress from their previous living environment along with the medical care they deserve. They are now safe and will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and brought up to date on all vaccines and preventatives.

Their journey to a fresh start has officially begun. These dogs are not yet available for adoption, so please check our website, which updates in real time, for availability. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
