DhunAnand Foundation

DhunAnand Foundation Dhun means melody and Anand means joy. Our mission is to support artists who are serving the planet. This has been exaggerated due to the 2019 pandemic.

Mission:
At DhunAnand Foundation we empower artists to foster oneness in the world through music and related art. Empower Committed Creatives

We enable artists who are committed to their art as well as to humanity. We can help such artists in developing and distributing their creations, as well as providing inspiration for new purposeful projects. In our first year, we are providing need-based mo

nthly stipends for around five artists for a year. For additional artists and inspiring projects aligned with our mission, we are providing inspiration, distribution, marketing, and additional post-production services. Causes: Fostering Oneness Through Shared Goals

Our music and related art projects foster oneness by raising awareness and inspiring action on shared goals. Consistent with the 17 sustainable development goals adopted by United Nation member states in 2015, these projects aim to reduce inequalities, fight poverty, hunger, conflict, disease, and illiteracy, spur economic growth and tackle climate change. We are currently focusing our efforts especially on projects about climate change given the immense need for awareness and action in this area. Vision: To Spread Joy Through Ambassadors of Oneness

In the long term, we envision creating multilingual genre-bending music through a diverse and global community of Ambassadors of Oneness who provide joy to people and heal the planet. Founded in July 2021

The idea for DhunAnand was conceived in July 2021 by Shivpreet Singh Kapoor, a serial entrepreneur, a visionary multimedia artist, and a spiritual humanitarian based in California. Last year his compositions were downloaded over 6 million times and listened to over 30 million minutes on digital media platforms. Shiv intends to donate 100% of his profits from music going forward to DhunAnand.

“I have been involved in oneness-based music projects for over 30 years and have always wished to help other artists,” said Shivpreet Singh. “The ensuing pandemic has resulted in severe hardships for artists worldwide. I am hopeful that the formation of DhunAnand will help bring resources to committed artists to let them do what they love doing. Moreover, I hope that we can develop some content to raise awareness and inspire action on climate change, one of the highest needs of our times. We believe the “Dhun” or content that we create will change hearts and minds and bring about “Anand” or joy in the world.”

What Compelled Us to Form DhunAnand

DhunAnand was founded in the backdrop of the following problems faced by artists and humanity:

1. Many musicians often lack resources or the inspiration to develop joyful non-commercial music that they love creating. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change recently detailed how “catastrophic impacts lie ahead unless the world rapidly and dramatically cuts greenhouse gas emissions.”

3. Data overwhelmingly indicates that climate change, environmental pollution, and epidemics/pandemics are having a detrimental effect on mental health. In response to these problems, we felt a call to arms at DhunAnand to:

1. Provide a comprehensive set of services to worldwide creatives who intend to foster oneness.

2. Raise awareness and offer solutions about inequities and sustainable growth that will impact global communities.

3. Provide joy to artists, their audience, and the world.
