We're excited to partner with Dianna Barbiani and The Rep Academy to provide a 5-day, hands-on entrepreneurship experience for all high school students and recent graduates!

💡 Over five action-packed sessions, students will explore:
~ Business model building using Lean Canvas
~ Design Thinking for real-world problem solving
~ The essentials of business licenses and permits
~ Pricing strategies and product/service value
~ Customer discovery, marketing basics, and more

We’re not just teaching. We’re igniting purpose, confidence, and possibility.
🗣️ We’ll also feature inspiring guest speakers, entrepreneurs with lived experience, so students see what's truly possible for their future.

This summer session is just the beginning. We envision a full-year series to dive deeper into each topic and continue mentoring students who want to create their own paths.
Let’s raise a generation that doesn’t just look for jobs, but creates them.

Why run 26.2 miles?

For Brian, it’s about more than the finish line.

It’s about showing up for students who are working toward their own future every single day.

At Project Next, we see what happens when students are given the support, guidance, and exposure they need.

They gain clarity.
They build confidence.
They create connections.

This month, Brian is running for that.

Every mile. Every step. Every possibility.

Join him. Sponsor a mile. 💚

We’re excited to officially kick off the Future Center design process at A Step Beyond!

This space is being built with intention and with students at the center of every decision. From layout to look and feel, student voice is guiding the design, ensuring it reflects what they need to feel welcomed, supported, and inspired as they plan for what comes next.

What makes this even more meaningful is the opportunity for students to work alongside industry professionals throughout the process, gaining real-world exposure and learning along the way. It’s not just about creating a space, it’s about creating an experience that builds confidence, skills, and connection.

We are incredibly grateful to Aaron Rigg and the team at DPR Construction, Tiffany English of Qualcomm, and Sneha Savla of Cultura for helping bring this vision to life. Your partnership is making a lasting impact for students in our community.

We can’t wait to see this come to life. 💚

We had the honor of welcoming the ASML team to our Future Center at Escondido High School this week, and it was such a meaningful visit (especially to have Louisa van den Broek join us all the way from the Netherlands!).

Misti Benson, Louisa van den Broek, Leah Sicat, and intern Julia Van Skike didn’t just tour the space, they experienced it the way it’s meant to be experienced.

Our students led the visit. They walked the team through the Future Center, showed off the video wall ASML helped make possible, and talked about all the ways it’s being used every day. More importantly, they shared their own stories. How Project Next has impacted them, what they’re thinking about for their future, and what their next steps look like. Students were opening up, being heard, and being encouraged by people who genuinely care.

ASML has been such a strong partner to Project Next. Their investment shows up in so many ways, from this space, to Career Nextpeditions, to Connect to Careers, and so much more. They don’t just support the work, they’re part of it. 💚

Project Next community, we’d like you to meet Brian 💚
He’s one of our newest board members, but he’s also the kind of person you might catch rappelling down the side of a building for a cause he believes in.

He’s shaved his head.
Walked a mile in high heels.
Even stepped in as a Beyoncé backup dancer… well, maybe not the Beyoncé, but close enough 😉

And now, he’s taking on his biggest challenge yet.

This May, Brian is running 26.2 miles in the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon in support of Project Next students.

Because every student deserves the chance to graduate with clarity, confidence, and a plan for what comes next.

This month’s Heart of Project Next word is ✨Possibility✨

When students are given the right support, exposure, and connections, the possibilities for their future become endless.

Brian is running for that.

And we’d love for you to be part of the journey.

💚 Follow along all month
💚 Cheer Brian on
💚 Support our students

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we are so grateful for the incredible community that shows up for our students again and again.
Because of you, our students are gaining the clarity, confidence, and connections they need to take meaningful steps toward their future.
This year alone, your impact has been felt in so many ways
81 professionals connected with students in our Future Centers
94 volunteers supported career expeditions
31 participated in our Real Estate Awareness and Discovery Initiative
100 gave their time at Interview Skills Day
And 150 will help make our upcoming Connect to Careers event possible
These are more than numbers. They represent conversations that spark curiosity, moments that build confidence, and relationships that open doors.
You are helping students move from uncertainty to a plan, and we could not do this work without you.
Thank you for being part of the journey and for investing in the future of our community. 💚
