We're looking for a few GOOD WOMEN (or men!)! We have an INCREDIBLE opportunity to bring this National Fitness Campaign project right here to San Elijo Hills. It would include installing a state-of-the-art fitness court in San Elijo Park (where the checkerboard is currently located).

This will be a fantastic spot to meet up with friends & workout. Check out the 2 minute video. It's super cool!

We've already received a seed grant & have done a lot of the backend legwork with the City of San Marcos. We want to add 3-4 people to our committee to get this project rolling! If you love this project & would be willing to roll up your sleeves & put in a couple hours/week for the next few months...we'd love to have you. Whether you like hiding out at home doing stuff behind the computer or maybe you love social media or maybe you love getting out & meeting people in the community doing PR stuff. We will have opportunities for all of the above. You choose what you enjoy doing.

We will need help with things like admin stuff (things you can do at home like looking up numbers, making calls, that sort of stuff), marketing (social media posts, website updates, that sort of stuff), liaison with committee & city contacts, and securing sponsorships...proposals, presentations, that sort of stuff.

We'd love to see the installation happen 1st quarter of 2019 + will have some fun community events surrounding the launch. If you're interested, PM me or you can email [email protected].

This is going to be a super cool project, so if you're looking for a way to connect in the community & do something that will have a lasting presence for years to come - jump in! (I'll include a link to the project page in the comments below for a little more details.

On Saturday, November 18, from 10AM-3PM, the San Elijo Recreation Center, 1105 Elfin Forest Road, San Elijo Hills, San Marcos, will be transformed into a fabulous holiday shopping experience guaranteed to put everyone in the mood for the season ahead. The event, formerly co-sponsored by the San Elijo Hills Women’s Club (SEHWC) and the City of San Marcos, is now hosted solely by the SEHWC, with all proceeds benefitting the SEHWC Scholarship Program.

This is a vetted event and several favorite vendors from past years will be available, in addition to many first-time participants -- all offering a fun and diverse variety of holiday and non-holiday items for everyone’s shopping enjoyment. Don’t miss this great opportunity to do your holiday shopping in a relaxed, stress-free environment! RUSH Coffee Truck will be on site during the morning with specialty coffees and treats. Delectable home-baked goodies will be sold during the SEHWC Bake Sale, and seasonal favorites and fall-inspired snacks from Cafe Stoked will be served as shoppers stroll among the booths.
