OK Double Peak Community, we are in the final stretch of Fund the Suns! We have only 4 days left to raise $14,817. That means we just need 82 more donations of the suggested amount to make it to our goal so our students can win a BMX Bike assembly! 

Not only that, but the class with the highest percentage of participation by Friday at midnight will earn $5 FroYo Love gift cards (TK-3rd) or $5 Starbucks gift cards (4-8th),  a (donated) $50 gift card for their teacher and front row seats to the assembly!

☀️ THE FINAL FUND THE SUNS CHALLENGE IS HERE!☀️

First, a big congratulations to Mrs. McClymond’s class for winning last week’s popsicle challenge with 48% class participation. Thank you!
We have 6 days to reach our $50,000 goal—and we have one big challenge left!

When we hit $50,000: THE ENTIRE SCHOOL WINS A BMX BIKE ASSEMBLY!

🏆 The class with the highest percentage of participation wins BIG:

We’re at 40% of our goal! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated! Let’s keep it going! Will your student’s class win this week? Our popsicle challenge is going strong! The new teacher on campus, Mrs. McClymonds is in the lead. Can anyone catch her?

We’ve officially kicked off Fund the Suns! Fund the Suns is one of our school’s most important fundraisers, and it makes a huge difference for our students every year.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 by September 4th. The incredible generosity of our families and community fully fund DPS programs like Innovation, K-5 Art, 6th grade inquiry, classroom grants, 8th grade graduation and more.

These are some of the programs that inspire our students to be creative, solve problems and think big. Every donation helps us bring more programs, events, and opportunities to our students, so let’s make this year’s Fund the Suns campaign our best one yet!

And to keep things fun,  we’ve built some friendly competition into the mix. Our first challenge…

The votes are in…. And on Friday, August 28, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie 🍿 🎥 will be showing for free admission, here at DPS!

Gates will open at 6:30 PM. Movie will start at sundown on the grass.

Popcorn is free with a donation to Fund the Suns

Make sure you bring a chair(s) blanket(s) and something to make you nice and cozy during the movie.

Good morning Monday,

This week will be pretty hot. 🥵 To help students stay cool, please consider the following:

• Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated throughout the day.
• Bring a refillable water bottle to school.
• Dress in lightweight, sun-protective clothing, such as hats or lightweight long-sleeved or short-sleeved shirts, and/or apply sunscreen before arriving at school, especially on days with outdoor activities.
