Riding the Wave of Summer Funding: Community Counseling Center (CCC) is honored to be selected as a recipient of a 2026 JUSTIN Community Grant.

This investment comes at a pivotal time for youth mental health in North San Luis Obispo County. Grant funding will help strengthen and expand our North County Youth Mental Wellness efforts, supporting counseling services and early intervention resources for local students and families.

Just as importantly, these funds will provide seed support as CCC continues developing and expanding Child Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI) services in North County—creating greater access to care, reducing barriers, and helping young people receive support before challenges become crises.

At a time when many mental health organizations face uncertainty and shifting public funding, partnerships like this demonstrate what is possible when local businesses and nonprofits work together to invest in the wellbeing of our community.https://www.wonderful.com/press/Justin-Community-Grants-2026/

Community Counseling Center of San Luis Obispo County had a passing of the baton and recognition session at the HQ yesterday. Ramon Montes de Oca is graduating from Cal Poly in June and has taken a full time job in his field. Ramon has been an anchor as our bilingual admin. Specialist and case manager for the School and PMAD programs. The entire admin. Staff were overjoyed to share a group picture with him in his sash.

CCC is also very fortunate to have Tania Estrada-Cardona stepping in to fill the position and offer a seamless transition with plenty of training and overlap to grab the baton. The CCC team is resilient and ever evolving to the needs of our community.

El Centro de Consejería Comunitaria del Condado de San Luis Obispo celebró ayer una ceremonia de traspaso de mando y reconocimiento en la oficina central. Ramón Montes de Oca se gradúa de Cal Poly en junio y ha conseguido un trabajo a tiempo completo en su campo. Ramón ha sido un pilar fundamental como nuestro especialista administrativo bilingüe y gestor de casos para los programas escolares y de PMAD. Todo el personal administrativo se alegró mucho de compartir una foto grupal con él luciendo su banda.

El CCC también tiene la gran fortuna de contar con Tania Estrada-Cardona, quien asumirá el cargo y ofrecerá una transición sin contratiempos, con amplia capacitación y apoyo para que pueda tomar el relevo. El equipo del CCC es resiliente y se adapta constantemente a las necesidades de nuestra comunidad.

Our CenCal program is for clients who are covered by CenCal Health. Our Sliding Scale program no insurance is necessary we base the session fee off of monthly income after taxes. If you have any questions we are happy to answer them give us a call at 805-543-7969. 📞

Community Counseling Center of San Luis Obispo County proudly receiving a grant award this morning from Dignity Health! Executive Director, James Statler surrounded by the CCC Executovr Board, including: Gil Stork, Julia Jones, Michelle Bowen Berlin, and Phil Bailey. The grant will revolutionize CCC’s on-campus mental health counseling programs as the agency adopts the multi payer fee schedule through the Child Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI).
