On October 8, 2015, San Francisco’s chapter will hold our second annual IFDA Take a Seat™ Chair Exhibit and Charity Auction. A selected number of our community’s distinguished designers are invited to participate by creatively redesigning up cycled chairs or submitting newly designed chairs for auction. Our proceeds will benefit the San Francisco’s chapter of Variety, A Children’s Charity. We are

committed to donating 70% of the net proceeds to our charity, and the balance will support Chapter professional development. At our kick off on Thursday, October 1, 2015, our chair designers, patrons, the press and IFDA members will preview the Take a Seat exhibition, along with other participating IFDA Chapters nationally. September - October 14, these exclusive chairs will be on display at the Galleria, San Francisco Design Center. This display will raise consumer awareness of the local design industry talent along together with our charity recipient, companies and sponsors that support us. Chairs will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Press announcements noting generous event patrons, will be sent to newspapers, magazines, and television stations in local and national venues as well as to social media. Our International ifdatakeaseat.com website, local chapter websites, Twitter feeds– and , along with our dedicated page– facebook.com/takeaseatifda, will be buzzing with all the news about our wonderful events, chair designers and terrific patrons.
