It's everyone's favorite time... Staff Spotlight time! 🌟

Introducing Ben Fox, one of our amazing second-year counselors and a Cornerstone Fellow! The Cornerstone Fellowship, through the Foundation for Jewish Camp is a leadership development program that empowers outstanding camp staff to create meaningful Jewish experiences and strengthen camp communities.

When asked why he wanted to return to Tawonga this summer, Ben replied: "I know it's cliché, but the Tawonga community and friendships I made last year are truly what brought me back to camp for 2026. I'm so glad to be in this community and to meet more campers and staff this summer."

Ben is most looking forward to helping his campers have the best summer experience ever—whether by making friends, exploring nature, or trying a new activity.

Meet our Bay Area Summer Team – the glue of Camp Tawonga!

Throughout the summer, these folks are supporting families who are preparing for programs, leading bus Ruach Rides, raising funds for Camp, managing Tawonga business operations, and more.

We have a team of 20 people who help support summer programs from afar. Many of us attended Tawonga as kids, have worked on summer staff, or even have a child attending this summer!

We're always happy to help and can't wait to experience the summer magic alongside you. 🌟

Meet Sadie Miller, one of our amazing Assistant Unit Heads this summer!

This will be Sadie's 3rd summer on staff and 15th summer at Camp Tawonga.

Sadie shared that this summer, she is especially excited to welcome new campers to the Tawonga community and help foster meaningful connections with nature through the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam.

Summer camp kicks off in just a few days, and our incredible team of 200+ staff members is here for it! From department deep-dives to full-team trainings led by our seasoned supervisors and directors, everyone is getting ready to make this the best summer yet.

This team of professionals is already proving to be talented. The campers are in for an epic season ahead! 🏕️🙌
