This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we must confront the reality that up to 19% of teens experience dating violence, and researchers note that traumatic experiences during adolescence carry long-term risks for subsequent victimization or mental health challenges.

Catherine is a nationally recognised leader in collaborative, survivor-centred responses to family violence. Previously serving as the founding director of the Guilford County Family Justice Center in North Carolina, she draws her experience as a clinician, system leader, and survivor to create communities where adults, children, and families can find safety and justice, and provides mental health services to victims of abuse across the lifespan. In part 2 of the interview, she talks to us about using digital technology to expand Alliance for HOPE's services in the future.
