Little Womble update 🥹🫶🏻
Our little boy who was found dumped in the rubbish is doing okay, and the good news is that he has recovered from CCV. ❤️
However, we do think something else is going on.
His eyesight is very poor and he is quite unstable on his feet, so naturally we are concerned there may be an underlying neurological issue.
We did ask about having a CT/MRI, but our head vet wants to wait until he is stronger before putting his little body through that.
One possibility we have wondered about is hydrocephalus, like our little Digger had. However, the vets also think he may have survived canine distemper before he came to us and been left with neurological damage/twitches as a result.
Right now, we simply don’t know.
For the next few days we are going to keep him safe, comfortable and closely monitored while he continues building his strength. Then we can decide what investigations he needs next.
For a little man who was literally thrown away like rubbish, he’s already fought incredibly hard to be here. 🥺❤️
