🚗💙 One generous gift turned into so much more.

A heartfelt thank you to Carlsbad Auto and the generous customer who donated a vehicle along with a Patagonia backpack and Best Buy gift card to support Walden’s young people.

After the Carlsbad Auto team fixed up the vehicle, one of their own team members purchased it — resulting in an amazing $2,500 donation to Walden! The gift will support our San Diego Gives campaign, which raised more than $28,000 for San Diego’s foster youth.

And the generosity didn’t stop there! The Patagonia backpack and Best Buy gift card were recently given away to young people participating in Career Day training at our San Diego office. 💙

We are so grateful to everyone at Carlsbad Auto for finding so many ways to make a difference.

YOU DID THIS! 💙

Thanks to an amazing community of supporters, Walden raised more than $24,000 during San Diego Gives to help foster youth build brighter futures!

We are beyond grateful to everyone who donated, shared our posts, forwarded our emails, and helped spread the word. Every gift represents another opportunity to provide young people with the support, stability, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.

But guess what? We’re not quite done yet!

We’ve extended our San Diego Gives campaign through the weekend, which means there’s still time to help us take this total even higher.

🏁 We’ve come this far together. Let’s cross the finish line strong!

We’re in the final hours of San Diego Gives — and there’s still time to make twice the impact.

Until midnight tonight, donations to Walden Family Services will be DOUBLED, helping us provide foster youth with the stability, resources, guidance, and opportunities they need as they work toward independent, successful futures.

A $50 gift becomes $100. A $100 gift becomes $200.

Every contribution moves us closer to the finish line and helps create meaningful opportunities for the young people we serve.

Help us finish San Diego Gives strong. Make your gift before midnight and double your impact for foster youth.

One Day. One Community. One Big Impact. -

San Diego Gives is TODAY—and there’s never been a better time to make an impact for foster youth and young adults in our community.

09/14/2026

YOU got us here. Now, let’s cross the finish line together!

Thanks to this incredible community, we’re already 70% of the way toward our $30,000 San Diego Gives goal—and every gift has brought us one step closer.

But we’re not finished yet.

Thanks to a generous donor, your gift can be matched dollar for dollar, up to $10,000, giving you the opportunity to make twice the impact for foster youth and young adults in our community.

Your generosity helps provide the housing, employment and educational support transitional age youth need as they work toward independence and build futures of their own.

You’re not simply making a donation. You’re helping transform what’s possible for a young person.

If you’ve already given, THANK YOU for getting us this far. Help us keep the momentum going by sharing our campaign with friends, family and colleagues. And if you’ve been waiting to give, now is the time to double your impact.

We’re 70% there. Let’s finish this together.

We’re getting closer—and YOU can help take us across the finish line.

Our San Diego Gives goal is $30,000, and thanks to incredible supporters like you, we’re getting closer every day. But we’re not there yet, and every gift matters.

The good news? Right now, your generosity goes twice as far.

Thanks to a generous donor, every donation to Walden will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $10,000. That means your $25 becomes $50. Your $100 becomes $200. And every doubled dollar helps provide transitional age youth with the housing, stability, resources and support they need to build independent futures.

You provide the opportunity. They build the future.

Early giving is open now, or you can join us on September 17 for San Diego Gives.

We’re so close to our $30,000 goal. Help us close the gap—and double the difference you make.
