Today, we honor the extraordinary life and enduring legacy of Dolores Huerta (April 10, 1930 – October 28, 2026), a courageous organizer, movement builder, and relentless champion of justice.

Her life reminded us that justice is not something we simply believe in—it is something we organize, sacrifice, and fight for together.

“We must use our lives to make the world a better place to live, not just to acquire things.”

May we honor her legacy by continuing the work.

Rest in power, Dolores Huerta. Your life made the world better. ¡Sí, se puede!

The Inland Empire is home to one of California’s fastest-growing Black populations, and it’s time we come together to build a shared vision for our future!

This Saturday, October 24, we’re calling on residents, faith leaders, community organizers, entrepreneurs, educators, and changemakers across Riverside and San Bernardino Counties to join us for the Inland Empire Black Future Agenda Community Convening!

Too often, our efforts to create change happen in silos. This is our opportunity to unite, build collective power, and shape a community-driven agenda rooted in action, accountability, and a thriving future for Black residents across our region.

What began as a bold vision is now a living reality—creating new pathways of opportunity, excellence, and possibility for our children and community.

C.O.P.E. has been honored and privileged to serve as Pathways Prep Academy’s Fiscal Sponsor throughout this journey, helping steward this vision from possibility to reality.
