There’s a lot of care behind the work happening across the Inland Empire 💙

This National Nonprofit Day, we’re sending a little extra appreciation to the nonprofit community across our region. Thank you for the time, energy and commitment you bring to this work every day.

Our first Rooted & Rising cohort has officially wrapped, and we are so grateful for everyone who brought it to life ✨🔔🥳

We celebrated UCR School of Public Policy interns and Inland Empire nonprofit host sites with a cohort showcase highlighting the projects, partnerships, and learning that came out of the program.

Through Rooted & Rising, and IE Community Collaborative Initiative, interns supported local nonprofits with work connected to policy, advocacy, fund development, program support, and organizational capacity. The showcase gave students and host organizations a space to share their experience, recognize the work completed, and celebrate the connections built during the past months 🤝

Thank you to Thrive Inland SoCal and California Jobs First for funding this first cohort, to the UCR School of Public Policy for their partnership and support, and to every intern and host site who made this program possible.

We’re proud of this first cohort and excited to keep building opportunities that support students, nonprofits, and the Inland Empire.

THANK YOU for attending ! 📣✨💙🎉

Nearly 200 attendees from 125 organizations joined us last week to engage, learn and be part of this space together. We are grateful for the positive energy and sense of community everyone brought. The Inland Empire gets stronger when we speak openly and navigate a changing landscape together.

Our 6th Annual Thrive Nonprofit Conference was centered on strengthening the IE nonprofit workforce, supporting both small and large organizations with skills and tools that can be used in daily work. This year we focused on the following themes; fundraising, advocacy, data and technology, and organizational infrastructure.

We want to thank our plenary speakers, Vu Le (Nonprofit AF), Geoff Green (CalNonprofits), and Fernando Chang-Muy (University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School) for grounding the day in perspective and honest reflection on the work ahead.

And as well grateful for the 24 guest speakers who shared practical ideas and real experience that nonprofit teams can take back into their systems, and all our sponsors who helped make this event possible!

We appreciate each one of you for joining and for the work you do 🤝
