CALLING ALL CAMERON COUNTY 4-H PHOTOGRAPHERS! 📸

Entries for the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo (SALE) Photography Contest are OPEN! Whether you're a seasoned photographer or entering for the first time, it's time to showcase your creativity and photography skills! 📷✨

📅 IMPORTANT DEADLINES:

🟢 October 31st – Regular entries due ($10 per entry)

🔴 November 1st–15th – Late entries accepted ($20 per entry)

🚨 NEW THIS YEAR! 🚨

📌 Photography entries must be added under the exhibitor's account, and photographs must be UPLOADED during registration!

📌 ALL entries must be submitted ONLINE through the parent portal. Parents are responsible for submitting their 4-H member's entries!

📌 All photographs MUST be properly titled or they will be disqualified!

Entries close October 31 at 11:59 PM, so be sure to submit your entries before the deadline.

Photography Reminder: All photo submissions must be uploaded at the time of entry. Be sure to have your photos ready before completing your submission.

Attention Exhibitors!
Commercial Heifer Validation is right around the corner! Commercial Heifer Validation is happening Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. 2027 Heifer Validation forms are online so may fill them out ahead of time.

🔸 SECOND-YEAR HEIFERS 🔸
There is an option for qualifying 2nd year heifers that meet specific criteria, to be exempt from being transported and re-validated. If you choose this option, please read the criteria and complete exemption form. Both the form and validation fee are due by November 2nd.

What an incredible turnout for our Cameron County 4-H Food Show & Food Challenge Workshop! 🍀

Yesterday, October 21st, we had an OVERFLOW of attendance as 4-H members gathered to kick off another exciting year of Food Show and Food Challenge! From seasoned competitors to first-time participants, we were thrilled to see so many eager faces ready to learn, grow, and sharpen their culinary skills! 🥗🍴

We are excited to see what this talented group of youth will accomplish this contest season!🎉

Stay tuned for our SECOND workshop, where we'll focus on presentation skills to help our members build confidence and prepare for competition!👩‍🍳

Follow along with Perez Elementary School’s CLUCK CAM as they take us behind the scenes of their incubation journey!🐣🐾

The Perez Panthers are one of 14 participating schools in our Hatching in the Classroom: Egg to Chick Program! Watch as students experience the incredible journey from egg to chick through hands-on learning and agricultural education!

A special thank you to the BISD Records and Sustainability Department and our local egg producers, The Acre on 1015, for their continued support in making this educational experience possible!
