Equest Learning

Equest Learning EQUEST Learning is a nonprofit that assists clients with payment for A Stable Learning LLC services.

EFL activities are used to achieve desired goals for people with physical, mental, and psychological impairments, as well as to provide the individual with life-skills to improve their quality of life. The emphasis is to incorporate cognitive, behavioral, psychological, and physical goals into the program plan, where the horse is not only a strong motivator for accomplishing these goals but also a

n invaluable partner in the learning process. The equine facilitated learning (EFL) professional, along with the educational specialists and licensed/credentialed health professional are involved in the design and implementation of the programs when appropriate. The frequency of consultation, the duration of the session and the number of sessions is determined on an individual or group basis.

Equine therapy, also known as horse therapy or hippotherapy, offers a range of benefits for individuals with physical, emotional, or psychological challenges:

1. **Emotional Regulation**: Interacting with horses can promote emotional regulation, reducing stress, anxiety, and depression.

2. **Physical Rehabilitation**: The rhythmic motion of horseback riding can improve balance, coordination, and muscle strength, making it beneficial for individuals with physical disabilities or injuries.

3. **Communication Skills**: Working with horses can enhance communication skills, trust-building, and empathy as individuals learn to communicate non-verbally with the animals.

4. **Confidence Building**: Accomplishing tasks related to horse care and riding can boost self-confidence and self-esteem.

5. **Social Connection**: Engaging in equine therapy in a group setting can foster social connections and teamwork among participants.

6. **Sensory Stimulation**: The tactile experience of grooming and interacting with horses can provide sensory stimulation, benefiting individuals with sensory processing disorders.

Overall, equine therapy offers a holistic approach to healing and personal development by combining physical, emotional, and psychological benefits in a unique and engaging environment.

The impact of hope on our social, mental, and physical well-being is widely documented. Positively correlated with higher satisfaction rates, the consensus is that hope serves as a buffer against negative and stressful life events. (Psychology Today, 10/24/21)

Just relax and enjoy the scenery.

I saw a t-shirt the other day that said “relax, nothing is under your control anyway” 😂

The weekly theme in my Yamas & Niyamas immersion course is Aparigraha. The notion of letting go things we cannot control (past, outcomes, possessions) so we can live more fully in the present.

While we can’t stop curveballs from happening, we can control how we respond to them. Cultivating resilience is perhaps our most essential superpower. Why? Because we know we can never control our other circumstances. We only hold dominion over our chosen response.

Doubling down on our personal practices help us solidify an abiding sense of strength and inner peace regardless of our outer circumstances…

Once we fully commit to this we can live well and freely…there’s a proven roadmap to this & we dive deep in my 11-week online course: The Yamas & Niyamas Immersion, learn more & register today: https://yoga-psychology.co/trauma-informed-yoga/
