McGivney, our council is committed to strengthening families, supporting our clergy, serving those in need, and being a visible witness to Christ in our communit

We serve through parish ministries, community outreach, support of the vulnerable, respect life initiatives, patriotic events, and hands-on service projects that make a real difference locally. Council 9902 is more than an organization — it is a brotherhood of men who stand together in prayer, service, and mission. Whether it’s supporting families in crisis, honoring our veterans and first responders, assisting our parish, or answering the call to help wherever needed, we are committed to serving God by serving others. Pope Leo XIV has appointed Knights of Columbus Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly as a member of the Dicastery for the Laity, the Family, and Life. The Vatican announced Kelly’s appointment on Aug. 25.

The dicastery was created by Pope Francis in 2016 to promote, as stated in its statutes, “the apostolate of the lay faithful, the pastoral care of the family and its mission according to God’s plan and for the safeguard and support of human life.” The dicastery is also the Vatican office responsible for organizing the international World Youth Day (WYD).

Yesterday’s event was a huge success!

We had over 30 brother Knights come to help with our breakfast fundraiser throughout the morning.

With the help of our SMM community we collected over 1,100lbs of canned food for our parish House of Mercy Food Pantry.

Come visit us this Sunday after Mass and enjoy breakfast and fellowship.

We are also collecting canned goods for our parish food pantry, House of Mercy.

While all canned goods will be accepted we are hoping for peanut butter donations to specifically help the families with children in our community.

Today, 25 men came together for our spiritual retreat as we prepare for the new fraternal year.

Before we can serve our parish, our community, or anyone else, we have to make sure we are keeping God first. Today gave us that opportunity to slow down, spend time with God, and renew our spirits.

We can make all the plans we want for the year ahead, but if God isn’t at the center of what we do, then we are missing the purpose of why we became Knights in the first place. Our faith has to come first, and from that faith comes our desire to serve others.

Thank you to our Brother Knights from St. Henry’s Council 11342 for providing breakfast tacos this morning and pizza for lunch. That’s what brotherhood is about, supporting one another and being there for each other.

As we begin this new fraternal year, may we always remember to keep God first and allow Him to guide the work we do for our parish and our community.

Today’s Gospel, Matthew 18:15-20, is a reminder of how Christ calls us to treat one another, especially when there is disagreement or conflict.

Jesus tells us to go directly to our brother. Not talk behind his back, hold a grudge, or simply give up on him. Sometimes living our faith means having the difficult conversation, being willing to forgive, and putting our own pride aside.

As Knights, we are called to stand together in faith and help each other grow closer to Christ. We won’t always agree, but we can always choose charity.

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

May we continue to pray together, serve together, and help one another become better Catholic men.

Come enjoy a delicious breakfast with your parish family and bring a donation of non-perishable food items to support the House of Mercy Food Pantry.
