🍂 If fall were a painting.

Today marks the end of summer and the first day of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.

While exploring the woods near the Stieglitz family retreat at Lake George, Georgia O’Keeffe often gathered leaves in a variety of shapes, colors, and textures, inspiring more than twenty artworks between 1922 and 1931. In her paintings, O’Keeffe enlarged the small leaves until they approached abstraction, focusing on intricate details and magnifying the vibrant beauty she observed in nature.

💚 Kappa Delta sisters — I’m circling back on ChildSafe’s Glitz & Glam Bingo! 💚

As many of you know, ChildSafe is the local organization our Kappa Delta alumnae chapter supports, so I would truly love to see our sisters show up and be represented at this event. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to support an organization we’ve chosen to stand behind — and have a really fun morning together while doing it!

Tables and seats are filling up, with only about six tables remaining, so now is the time to grab an individual ticket, gather some sisters or friends for a table, or consider one of the sponsorship opportunities.

They also still looking for a big-ticket item and additional silent auction donations. If you, your business, or someone you know can help with either, please reach out.

💚 Kappa Delta Sisters Supporting ChildSafe 💚

Kappa Delta has supported ChildSafe in the past, and we have another opportunity to come together for this very important cause. Please see the attached flyer for information about the upcoming Glitz & Glam Bingo!

As sisters, our goal is to contribute a bag or two and show our support through our presence. ChildSafe is seeking new handbags valued at $100 or more. We would love to donate a handbag—or create a group fund to purchase one on behalf of our Kappa Delta alumnae.

We’d also love to gather a group of sisters to attend and show our united support! There is an option to also reserve a table of six.

Join us as we learn from Juliea Shriver, a college art professor for almost 20 years. This month we will be exploring the life and works of Georgia O'Keeffe, an American modernist painter whose career spanned seven decades and yet remained largely independent of major art movements.
