The North Carolina Police K9 Foundation dropped by East Coast Canine Inc., North Carolina to donate a K-9 trauma kit for K-9 Honcho and Officer Hayes of the Rocky Mount, NC Police Department.

Because of our generous donors we are able to help keep North Carolina K-9's safe while they serve the community.

This K-9 trauma kit was donated in honor of K-9 Diesel of the Chattanooga Police Department, Tennessee.

K9 Diesel succumbed to injuries he received while attempting to apprehend a suspect with felony warrants at the 3300 block of 4th Avenue in Chattanooga.

Officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call, and the armed subject refused to exit the house. When K9 Diesel was deployed to execute a search for the subject, he suffered severe lacerations from broken glass on both hind legs, severing an artery and his Achilles tendon.

Despite immediate life-saving treatment, K9 Diesel's injuries were too severe, and he was humanely euthanized on September 17, 2025.

The suspect was apprehended a few weeks later and was charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment.

K9 Diesel had served with the Chattanooga Police Department for one year and five months.

The North Carolina Police K9 Foundation dropped by East Coast Canine Inc., North Carolina to donate a K-9 trauma kit for K-9 Loki and Officer Elliott of the Rocky Mount, NC Police Department.

Because of our generous donors we are able to help keep North Carolina K-9's safe while they serve the community.

This K-9 trauma kit was donated in honor of K-9 Floki of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

K9 Floki was shot and killed while working the back perimeter of the Marshall County Correctional Facility at 833 West Street in Holy Springs.

K9 Floki patrolled the back perimeter to prevent contraband. He was found the next morning when officers went to bring him food and water.

There is a reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspects involved in K9 Floki's murder.

K9 Floki was 7 years old and was used for narcotics detection and tracking.

The North Carolina Police K9 Foundation dropped by East Coast Canine Inc., North Carolina to donate a K-9 trauma kit for K-9 Bacca and Sergeant Richardson of the Rocky Mount, NC Police Department.

Because of our generous donors we are able to help keep North Carolina K-9's safe while they serve the community.

This K-9 trauma kit was donated in honor of K-9 Zeus of the Elizabethtown Police Department, Kentucky

K9 Zeus died after being exposed to methamphetamine during a training exercise.

While training with multiple agencies, K9 Zeus found a narcotics bag. As he alerted his handler, the bag broke open, forming a cloud over K9 Zeus. Once exposed, he immediately reacted. Despite life-saving measures, K9 Zeus passed away en route to the Blue Pearl Animal Hospital in Louisville.

K9 Zeus was five years old and had served with the Elizabethtown Police Department for three years.

This K-9 trauma kit was donated in honor of K-9 Leonidas of the Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office, New York.

K9 Leonidas succumbed to heatstroke after the patrol vehicle's alarm system failed to operate.
K9 Leonidas was left in the patrol vehicle during a call where K9 Leonidas was not required. When his handler returned to the patrol vehicle, the air conditioning unit had failed, and the alarm had not activated.

K9 Leonidas was transported to a local veterinarian, and despite lifesaving measures, he passed away.
K9 Leonidas had served with the Schenectady County Sheriff's Office for eight years.

The North Carolina Police K9 Foundation dropped by East Coast Canine Inc., North Carolina to donate a K-9 trauma kit for K-9 Duke and Officer Huyck of the Rocky Mount, NC Police Department.

Because of our generous donors we are able to help keep North Carolina K-9's safe while they serve the community.

This K-9 trauma kit was donated in honor of K-9 Spike of the Burbank Police Department, California.

K9 Spike was shot and killed while apprehending a suspect who had fled police.

Around 6:40 p.m., officers pulled over a vehicle on Buena Vista Street near the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway on-ramp. A passenger in the vehicle fled on toot. Ky Spike was deployed to find the suspect in the residential area. When K9 Spike located him, the suspect fired multiple shots, striking K9 Spike, before fleeing. K9 Spike was transported to an emergency veterinarian, but succumbed to his wounds.

The suspect was tound hours later after a lengtny search. When he fired at officers and hit patrol vehicles, officers returned fire, killing him.

K9 Spike had served with the Burbank Police Department for 21 months.

The North Carolina Police K9 Foundation dropped by East Coast Canine Inc., North Carolina to donate a K-9 trauma kit for K-9 Bucky and Officer Strickland of the Rocky Mount, NC Police Department.

Because of our generous donors we are able to help keep North Carolina K-9's safe while they serve the community.

This K-9 trauma kit was donated in honor of K-9 Knight of the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia.

K9 Knight was shot and killed while responding to a domestic call at the 12900 block of Gumfork Place in Midlothian.

Around 4:40 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call from a female requesting assistance as a man was firing a gun inside her home. When officers arrived, the suspect shot at the officers, killing K9 Knight. Two officers were transported to local hospitals with critical wounds.

The suspect was also shot in return fire, sustaining minor wounds. He has been charged with 2 counts of attempted aggravated murder of a police officer, 2 counts of aggravated malicious wounding of a police orcer, 1 count of killing a police dog, and 4 counts of use of a fi***rm in the commission of a telony.

K9 Knight had served with the Chesterfield County Police Department for three years.
