February 20 – Join Worcester County’s Emergency Services Team and Build Your Career

Seeking a rewarding, full-time career in emergency services? If so, we invite you to meet with Worcester County Emergency Services (WCES) and Human Resources professionals during a job fair at the Worcester County Government Center, located at 1 W. Market Street, Room 1301 in Snow Hill, on Friday, February 20, 2026.

Two sessions will be offered, with the first beginning at 8:30 a.m., and the second at 1:00 p.m.

February 20, talk directly with WCES professionals about becoming a 9-1-1 Specialist, learn about the many career training and advancement opportunities available in this career field, and submit an application onsite.

Prior experience is not required. Worcester County provides paid training, a welcoming, team-centered environment, a generous full-benefits package, career advancement opportunities, and membership in the Maryland State Retirement System.

Higher Ground is in preparation for this snow event arriving this weekend. We have an emergency shelter available at Gods way ministries Milton open to homeless individuals. We are in need of snack items, meals breakfast, lunch and dinner enough for three days. For approximately 40-50 people. Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard. CASA volunteers step in when children need a consistent, caring adult to advocate for their best interests during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

By showing up, speaking up, and standing beside a child, you can help change a child’s story—from one of uncertainty to one of hope and healing.

Learn how you can make a lasting impact in a child’s life and become the voice they need. We currently have 73 active children in our program and have12 children still awaiting a volunteer.
