***VOH Employee Spotlight:

Leading an organization and team can be hard. What makes it easy is when you have a team that is committed to the mission, and are caring, and compassionate. That’s my team - the A Team!

Today a young lady landed on our doorstep who was autistic. Connie, our Program & Operations Manager jumped in and does what she does best. Connie quickly gained her trust and helped her remain calm. Our organizational values are:

Integrity
Compassion
Respect
Dedication
Dignity
Diversity

Our values are not reserved just for our program participants. They apply to every woman we come in contact with. Connie was able to get info on a family member and arrange an Uber ride.

Thank you Connie for creating a safe space and ensuring this young lady was treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. We are fortunate to have you on our team. The young lady made it home safe and sound.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Paige Tuozzo of United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore for adding some TLC to our children’s play room. Our little ones can learn their abc’s while playing on the new rug.

The Dylan Project is moving forward. We anticipate the completion of a new shed, playground, and trash bins by August, thanks to Dylan Maine's contributions. Dylan has raised an impressive $11k for this initiative. Additionally, Dylan and his mother volunteer their time to keep the Village of Hope Campus clean by collecting litter every other week. We thank Dylan for his generosity and kindness towards Village of Hope.

Today, we honor and celebrate the strength, resilience, and courage of cancer Survivors everywhere 🎗️

National Cancer Survivors Day is a reminder of the many challenges Survivors face throughout and beyond a diagnosis, while also recognizing the hope, perseverance, and determination that carry so many forward each day. Your stories, strength, and resilience continue to inspire our community in countless ways.

Today and every day, Women Supporting Women stands beside Survivors and their loved ones, ready to provide support, compassion, and care every step along the way 💗
