We are so proud of you Mary. From a shelter to a place to call home.
Just a couple of days ago Mary, received keys to her new home.
Mary is such a sweet, precious lady. Checkout that happy smile.
In just a few weeks, she will be graduating our Journey of Hope program. She has studied hard, saved, faithfully attends church, and doing everything to change her circumstances. Using the tools that are taught in class, she is beginning to reap the benefits of life change.
We love you Mary!

Halo received a generous donation from the proceeds of the Tim Kennard River Run hosted by Salisbury Bible Fellowship held on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
The race committee presented HALO director Celeste Savage a check this week to continue the work they do in the community.
The 21st annual race, a 10 mile and 5k event, donates proceeds annually to local charities. All money raised stays here on the Shore. Next year’s race is planned for March 7.
Thank you Tim Kennard River Run committee, Salisbury Bible Fellowship and runners, for your generous gift and also continuing Mr. Kennard's legacy.

What an AMAZING group of kids. SERVE THE SHORE 2026 group of teens made it happen at HALO today. Putting Christmas Trees together, hanging Christmas linens, Ugly sweaters, and ending up weeding HALO... and learned how just the smallest act of kindness would have a Big impact.
Thank you Cross Pointe, Denton Nazarene, Laurel Nazarene and The Mission Community Church for all coming together and sharing the love of Christ by being His Hands abd Feet at HALO

How Does our garden grow?

Our tomatos and cucumbers are ready for picking.

I see in HALO's lunch menu- ham, lettuce and finally some homegrown tomato sliced perfectly to make the best summer sandwich.

Fresh cut cucumbers with some diced tomatoes, sliced red onions, vinegar, and oil, add water, little bit of sugar, a dash of black pepper, and you created the perfect side

Lunch is sounding pretty good!

Interesting story....
I had to go to Peninsula Imaging for a few xrays very early today. I was in and out pretty quickly.

When I got into work this morning, HALOs Food Service Administrator, Dale Gibbs,came to my office and said look at this picture.

"Yesterday we got so much food. Our shelves were getting empty, but these two ladies pulled up to the cafe wearing big smiles and started to unload their vehicle.

Not one, not two, but three carts full overflowing with hamburger, milk, poptarts, fruitcups, and so much more. I couldnt believe it."

I found out these much needed food items were pull together by the amazing team of coworkers at Peninsula Imaging.
