Did you know that marine invasive species can threaten native habitats, outcompete local species, and alter the health of our coastal ecosystems?
Through the Marine Invader Monitoring and Information Collaborative (MIMIC), Salem Sound Coastwatch volunteers help monitor local shores for invasive marine species, providing valuable data that supports early detection and long-term ecosystem health.
No scientific background is required. Community scientists of all experience levels are welcome to participate!
